Ven. Aregama Sirisumana Thero

Venerable Aregama Sirisumana was born on February 13, 1981, in Kegalle, Sri Lanka. He was ordained as a Buddhist monk on November 1, 1990, and received his higher ordination (Upasampadā) on February 2, 2002. He completed his primary and secondary education at the Sri Dharmachandra Buddhist Institute (Pirivena) in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. He later entered the University of Kelaniya, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004. Following his graduation, he served as a teacher at the Sri Dheerananda Buddhist Institute in Kurunegala until his departure to the United States in late 2005.
